Fullerton has 8 licensed child care providers with combined licensed capacity for about 123 children. 2 are centers, preschools or school-age programs and 6 are family child care homes. 7 accept infants under one year.
5 of 8 providers here hold a Step Up to Quality rating and are listed first, highest Step first. Step Up to Quality is Nebraska's voluntary quality rating system for child care and early childhood programs, run by the Nebraska Department of Education with DHHS. Rated programs hold Step 1 to Step 5. Step 1 is the entry level, and Steps 3 to 5 require an independent evaluation. Participation is voluntary, so a provider without a rating has not been rated low.
